Born in Nottingham in Dec 1938, Gill started running in 1982, joining GAC very soon afterwards. Her PBs include: 10km 50.12; 10 miles 1:19; 1/2 marathon 1:43; marathon 4:46.
As at Aug 07 Gill has completed 34 marathons, including 15 consecutive London's, 2 New York and 3 Malta. Gill's 1/2 marathons exceed 150, including 9 in Cyprus.
Her longest race was the gruelling Nottingham-Grantham Canal Run - 33 miles - when she was a Veteran over 50.
Gill has now run over 27,000 miles in training and races - and admits that quantity has been at the expense of quality - but is determined to carry on for as long as she can!
